Are you changing your palate or washing it time to time? Basically my palate becomes so dirty that no space lefts for new colors😢 its a bit hard

I tried oils and hayed them. It forever to dry. Turned into a big mess

That was very helpful to see you use the colours you had on your palette to create what you needed.... but my question is how did you know (just from looking at the reference photo) which colours you needed to start with? Why Indian Yellow instead of Cadmium Yellow, for example? How did you know you needed yellow at all? Does that just come with practice?

Is that watercolor or oil? What kind of sketchpad you use to practice painting?

Hi thanks for the tutorial as a graphic pencil artist I always feel intimidated by the acrylics. So hard for me to go basic to details. I work on a ocean painting right now but because I try so hard to be detailed it’s getting messy.

Have you tried using a View Catcher? I use it to focus down on my composition and it helps me to keep focused on the very area I want to paint or draw. Just google the name and it should pop up. Hope this helps!😃

Omgosh I just opened up to my YT and as I was scrolling I started watching very very impressed !! Not only do I love your non boring videos but you literally hit on my huge interest about oil painting I've been wanting to try or should say experiment with oils I just didn't know where to start and mediums to use or the brand ?? I totally wondered how to clean my brush or brushes well you hit that too so thankyou I'm going toichaels and picking up what I need but Im not sure about the soap you use if I have to order it on line or if I can get it at Michael's on obviously my favorite place to shop?? Thankyou again and I'll be watching more of your videos and hoping I learn more about oil painting !! 👍❤️

I know this is 5 years later….wow I can’t believe it took me this long to find you. You’re funny …and talented. I have oil paints I probably purchased 5 years ago and mediums and the metal brush washer thingy where the sediment goes to the bottom and it seals closed that I HAVE YET TO USE. I watched ur cloud oil vs. acrylic paint comparison…. Perhaps starting with small paintings is the perfect way to start using them. I started with acrylics years ago but more recently have been painting a lot with watercolors. Have a great day, hope you feel better…. Haaa haaa.

last night i was trying to draw starry night on canva and i kept struggling with that dotted line part. it got so frustrating i grabbed a blue paint brush and doodled all over ruining the canva. with a new fresh mood i am here to see a much more step by step detailed tutorial and since i am also using acrylic paint this was so helpful. i struggle a lot with them drying too. Thanks for the tutorial. Will update if i ever complete the drawing and get satisfied
